Dreaming

.... a day that began learning about the Circle of Fifths and ended with dreams of the summer holiday that is separated from us by only one sleep and one day. We are in serious need of this time.

She had a wonderful music lesson to start her day. She's on a mission to gobble up everything B throws at her right now and, as B says, has suddenly taken quite major ownership of her lessons. I don't go in anymore, at Katie's deciding. But I am only a wall away so get to hear the joy that they both get from their adventures together. She's got two "bathtime pieces" to learn all by herself in a week- pieces she does totally independently on a morning, pieces she delights in learning when she's mastered it by herself.

It was pouring down by the time her lesson ended so we picked up the car to drop her off to school. She said they didn't do any work today. She came home with lots of colouring in. It was a bit disappointing for them all as today was meant to be The Big Bounce- an end of year treat where the school hire big inflatable slides and bouncy castle. It didn't happen of course.

It was at least dry by the time I picked her up. I love that it made her smile a huge amount that I'd bought her a bakery sandwich. She makes me laugh; she loves egg mayo, gets very cross if she finds out her egg has mayonnaise in it. She loved her sandwich. Until she realised it had mayonnaise mixed in!

She bounced into dance class tonight. She couldn't remember the track they danced to but was pleased Miss E gave them sweets!

She was a tired bunny tonight. We had some tears and wobbles but we had some very big cuddles and snuggles. One sleep. Just one more.
