Back to the future

I popped in to Arduaine this morning to sign up as a volunteer! It did seem strange, but I'd agreed with Gregor, my successor, to come in from time to time to help him out with plant names and plants to be planted out and where, particularly ferns.

It will never be the same, of course, but I must accept that and help to take the garden on into the future. I also agreed to continue writing a monthly blog for the Arduaine Friends' website in addition to what Gregor will be writing. It will be interesting to see how all this turns out!

I didn't have much time in the garden this time, but took this picture of the so-called Scotch Flame Flower, Tropaeolum speciosum, such a beautiful weed at Arduaine!
