Vanille

Vanille is a neighbour's dog we are looking after for a few days. She is old, half deaf and blind, so seems a bit stupid. Yesterday we discovered that she'd chewed a sachet of 20-year-old rat poison so, this morning she starts a three-week course of antidotes. The vet we spoke to didn't seem overly concerned, although we know that another dog in the family died a few years ago after eating rat poison. In our case the rat poison was there to be found all the time that our young children were staying here, but that's life in the countryside, here!
