Fourth Attempt

Followers of this journal may well recall our efforts over the years to visit Gawthorpe Hall (Padiham Nr. Burnley) and view the interior.
We have visited on a Monday and a Tuesday in the past - to find the Hall opens Wednesday to Sunday.  Then we visited on another occasion to find it closed for a full 12 months renovation.
Today was Wednesday - success - we got inside (see extra) and were enjoying our exploration when, 20 minutes into our visit, the fire alarm went off and we all had to evacuate the hall.
Here are the visitors milling around waiting for news.  It was a false alarm, but me & Mrs MD decided Gawthorpe Hall was not for us, so we came home :-)
