A darker bloom

has emerged in out Calla Lily tubs. I've been watching it emerge, later than the rest with a very dark bud initially and a slightly variegated leaf.

Well here it is out now and a bit lighter than the bud suggested. Don't know where it came from. They have such an elegant shape

We have some blooms on the sweet peas but they are not even a foot high! Never had that before. I went into the green house to,photograph the tomatoes but the only red one was semi hidden. It gone now as we ate it! It was delicious so I hope we get lots more.

A dull start to the day compared with the last two and I think there was a bit of rain in the night (from the droplet on the Lily) but not the storms we were told to expect. It has been warm and quite sunny again this afternoon but it is starting to,look a bit threatening now. Maybe those storms are still to come.

Off to the pub now for the Wednesday gathering.
