July the Fourth!

I spotted this little darling (her name is Sushi!) outside our hotel on the morning of July 4th while waiting for our friend to come and pick us up.  We noticed many more dogs later in the day who were sporting some kind of stars and stripes accessories!

My two extras were taken in one of the lovely old neighbourhoods (this is Wrigleyville) north of the city where we spent the Holiday with our friends before seeing one of the many spectacular fireworks displays near Lake Michigan in the evening.
