night sky

after the airshow on saturday we had a late supper with our guests on the rooftop and gradually as the clouds lifted we could see more and more stars. We then got the tripod out to try to capture some star trails but unfortunately we didn't have long before it clouded over again. I did mange to get a few not very long exposure shots though. As it was by then past midnight this was a very early blip for Sunday! 
We had more visitors on Sunday (well we don't usually have a mini-castle to entertain in!) and had a pleasant walk through the woods to the nearby pub for lunch. Over lunch it poured but luckily was only drizzling when we returned. The extra is of some ferns on the way back (as I found it hard to resist a drip shot!)
