Seerosen & Viecher

Seerosen are waterlilies & Viecher are critters (das Viech, die Viecher).  And because you pronounce a German V like an Englisch F, the word sounds a lot like Feeker.

It was too hot to deal with other people's Scheiße today.  Crappy explanations after 6 hours of wasted analysis are really not on.  That sort of thing is really where IBM excel, but today it was in-house.  It was enough to make me think "Fick diese Viecher".

But I'm not particularly good at being angry - apart from flatulence, you could never describe me as being a violent chap.  So I packed up, left the office and sought a bit of peace beside a pond.

For some reason I started thinking about Archy & Mehitabel - come on, that's a pretty standard non sequitur for my thought process - and that made me look for readings on youtube.  I discovered that there's a 1971 film based on the poems - Shinbone Alley.  A clip of which I discovered with Mehitabel's catchphrase or perhaps I should say Leitmotiv.

I need to visit New York to see this.
