Lines

Phew - what a scorcher! Too hot to do almost anything. The electricity went off this morning so there was only one thing to do - pack a book and a picnic and head to the sea! I was the only one there and it was heavenly. Outrageous hedonism!  This jelly was languishing on the stones, rather beautiful lines and ideal for this week's MM challenge- thanks to 60plus for hosting this month.

Back to Bantry for more literary goings-on tonight. Tonight's authors are Sara Baume (Spill, Simmer, Falter, Wither) and Lisa McInerney (Glorious Heresies). I've read Sara Baume and am a huge fan - she is a unique and wonderful voice, but have yet to read Lisa McInerney, so should be interesting.

Can I squeeze another swim in? I went last night at around 8pm - fantastic. Still warm and there were sundogs in the sky - the visible bits of a circular rainbow around the sun.
