Goatfell
Woke up to a beautiful day and sunshine this morning and had a wander round Brodick (main blip of Goatfell with Bb on the bench) and bought both a birthday present and, gulp, a Christmas present for our Norwegian God-daughter: it will be the year of Scottish presents for her! We drove round to Lamlash, another wander and enjoyed displays by the RNLI. My extra is of a beautiful row of little houses in Lamlash. Put us in the mood to come back for a Scottish holiday sooner than later. The crossing to Ardrossan couldn't have been better weather-wise and a bit of nostalgia and video-taking kicked in when we thought it might be the last crossing from the current pier as a new one's being built - airport-like and modern, but over time will still hold the kind of memories Bb cherishes of childhood holidays. Now in Prestwick airport and about to board. See you in Barcelona!
