New Friend

Sunshine!! Happy 3rd birthday poppy!
Bumped into jacky on kelvinbridge, surprise.
Dr mcarthy not quite as bad as anticipated, but still would like to call him a very rude word.
Air smells lovely today - fresh and warm and clear - amazing what a difference it makes!
Met Erin in the west end and very weirdly we walked past Morven, Mrs Motion, Abbie and Scott! Poppy made friends with the homeless man who always sits outside the subway, sometimes with a guitar. I started talking to him and apologised for how many times I've walked past him without stopping to give change and said I was so sorry but I actually didn't have change on me just now. He told me not to apologise - he said the main thing was that I spoke to him. I asked him if he'd like a coffee , which he did, and he offered to look after poppy while I went to buy it. He must have sensed my hesitation because he quickly said "it's all right, I'm not going to take her". I feel bad that the thought crossed my mind but I like I think I would feel uncomfortable leaving poppy with anyone, and it wasn't just a judgement of this guy because he is homeless.
I got the coffee from roots and fruits, and the kind young man behind the till let me use my card even though there's supposed to be a £5 minimum. When I returned Poppy was sitting in the guitar mans lap being stroked and cuddled, it was so lovely to see.
Shannon came over with her social worker to drop off her stuff which has been locked away in storage, so I said she could store it here until she sorts everything out.
We bouge felt a lot more optimistic and positive today - as we were laughing and gossiping it almost felt like old times.
