The Lovely......

..... Wedding of Tom & Lea.

We left our house at about nine o'clock and ended getting to Colchester for about one with a little stop for fuel and snack on the way.

Tom is Claire's cousin who she spent a lot of time with when they were young, but now only see a couple of times a year so it's nice when it happens. Today he has married Lea, his American partner who looked beautiful for her big day.

I think weddings can be so over the top these days but Tom and Lea's was just right and suited their characters brilliantly. The ceremony was swift with the formalities done in a casual manner with a bit of comedy thrown in for good measures. The venue was a 14th Century hotel/pub which oozed character and was perfect for the occasion.

The food was excellent and we all had a jolly good time, with a mix of entertaining the youngster on the dance floor and having a good catch up with distant relatives.
