Muriwai

An awesome day at Muriwai, rugged coastline, crashing sea, wind like I've never known and bitterly cold, just 7C

Muriwai is on the west coast of Auckland, known for it's black sand, surfing, fishing, bush walks and colony of Australasian gannets.

The camera was going non-stop as the gannets hovered and glided by, conditions not the best with the wind shaking the camera but I'm happy to have captured a few special shots.

Extras show how the day progressed from sunny with light heavy showers to bucketing rain, it was indeed wet, windy and very wild.
