Missing my mallow

It died a few years ago - over- pruned, perhaps. This specimen is growing at the corner of Boyd's Entry and Gullan's Close, off St Mary's St in the Old Town, just by Chessel's Court. This is the house where Deacon Brodie - rumoured inspiration for RL Stevenson's famous character(s) Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde - committed his last crime.

Contrasting extra - it is summer again and i am out and about in George Sq and King's Buildings. This is a fire exit between Chrystal Macmillan Building and Old Medical School/Teviot (now re-named William Robertson Building).
