Helping the grass to grow
We had an early start this morning - out of bed at 4.15am, at the cowshed at 4.40am and cups on the cows at 4.45am. It's 8pm and I'm just starting to feel the effects of the early start. It will be off to bed for me soon.
This picture shows Farmerboy sowing Nitrogen to help kick start the grass to grow. This paddock had our calving cows in it; this is why the grass is a lot shorter than it would normally be if it had the milking herd in it.
It was nice to see the sun today, which, along with a breeze, has helped dry out the paddocks.
