A morning siesta

We woke this morning to a clear sky and a very slight frost. The sun came out before we went to feed out, so it was really nice to be able to put the washing on the line to dry.

Our calves have suffered a wee bit with all the wet cold weather we have had over the past fortnight, so it was nice to see them having a wee siesta this morning, and soaking up the sun. This wee calf was doing just that - and seemed rather oblivious to me lying in the wet grass taking photo's of her.

Farmerboy and myself went out to Rivers Café for lunch today. We had Whitebait sammy with chips - it was yummy, and really nice to be of the farm and out for lunch.
