Meet Snuffy

I love cats for many reasons so they'll probably be frequent blip subjects. This isn't the best portrait of my dear little Snuffy that I've taken but I was just about to be stuck for a blip this evening. The light was going and I had run out of options and didn't want to resort to a picture of the sad last rose of summer left on the bush.

I spent the morning trying to catch a bird in the bird bath so I could follow through on yesterday's blip. Every time I saw one even close to the water I'd grab the camera, but the bird would fly off. A couple of them landed and splashed around but I never seemed to connect with the window, the camera and the bird at the same time. After a while I had to leave for work, but I'm going to keep trying. The birds apparently prefer early morning over late afternoon for bathing.

In the meantime, Snuffy was willing, which isn't always the case. He's a skittish little fellow and hard to catch sitting still, so this was the best I could do for today. Snuffy is my lopsided cat -- my little crooked kitty. He has a deformed left front leg which means he walks funny but he doesn't know anything is wrong and can keep up with the best of them.

If I had the means I would have photoshopped the table legs out of this picture, but I don't so that sort of refining will have to wait a bit.

I hope everyone had a nice day today -- I did.
