Snake!

After yesterday's drama I thought I deserved a day to myself, exploring the lakes. What a difference it made getting in there early in the morning, beautifully peaceful and totally gorgeous. By the time I left at 4pm it was like being in the middle of a rugby scrum getting back on the boat. Should you ever go , Go Early!
This is a dice snake. Non - venomous and more at home in water than on land. Two great things happen this evening. Firstly, when we are driving home from a restaurant we notice the landscape is flickering with fireflies. Secondly there is a terrific thunderstorm - 2 hours where the sky was constantly alive with lightning - wow.
