Mum and Dad

Here they are, regarding their eldest child with their usual air of puzzlement!

I think I have always been a mystery to them. I don't know why, surely it didn't take too long to work out my extreme contrariness as far as they were concerned?
Women can't be engineers, who would employ them? They advised as I signed up to study Engineering.
Only crazy weird people get 1. Confirmed, 2. Study theology 3. Join the church.
Hmmm, maybe they were right on that last one!
These days, they exhibit a mixture of pride and confusion at my life choices.

Anyhow, it was mostly a drama free couple of days. And that's the best you could ask for.
