Farewells from Bushey

We had a bit of sleep although it was really hot and we could nt open the window. We had a good breakfast once they had restocked as most the food and cutlery had all gone.
A sunny, hot day and we headed for Bushey to see Colin and Deb. We spent a couple of hours there and then dropped them off at the Classic Car show.
On Mike's Mum and Dad's and had a tasty casserole and apple crumble pudding with Cream. We had a look round the garden and admired the roses that Mike's Mum had grown from Cuttings. The beans Richard had helped to plant are growing well.Pete and Jill popped in and one of the neighbours and then we were on our way to Maidstone. The traffic was ok, just a few slow bits. We stopped at Cobham services for a sandwich and drink which we ate in a picnic area near the water.
We arrived at the Hilton Hotel and found we were the 'guests of the day' so could have two free drinks. The room was cool even though there was no air con , just a fan. Another good idea was you could decline Housekeeping by putting a sign on the door and you were given a £5 voucher to spend at the bar or cafe. So we did that twice :) The room was only £65 a night too.
