Le Fort National

Today was our last fun day of the holiday. We set off from southern Brittany and drove north to Saint Malo where we decamped the contents of the car into a hotel room then went into to town for our final shopping and sight seeing expedition.

We had plenty of time to visit the walled city which was looking stunning in the warm afternoon sun and buy some yummy ice cream. We walked along some of the ramparts, where this blip was taken looking out to the Le Fort National, built to keep us English out - it evidently hasn't worked that well recently... Now it's just a fantastic thing to take pictures off. I took loads of really brilliant pictures of and in the city - which will no doubt make it onto the intertubes eventually...

Tomorrow we go home - if the weather is as good as today the crossing will be good.
