Morro Bay at sunset
Today we left an unseasonably clear and warm San Francisco (sunny and 68 F) and headed south. The Central valley is where the US grows all its fruit and vegetables. Agriculture on a massive scale. Everything from strawberries to avocadoes. By the time we got to Pass Robles it was114 F.
Changing drivers involved a quick spray of spf 50 followed by a sprint around the car in an environment resembling the opening of an oven door while someone throws hot sand in your face.
By some strange chance we had chosen to stay on the coast at Morro Bay where it was a perfect 67 F. Tonight we watched the sun set over the Rock accompanied by seals, otters, pelicans and some rather good live music at the Otter Rock Cafe.
