Day 188/17. What big eyes you have.....

Pond Skaters are fascinating little creatures.
Perfectly adapted for hunting prey on the surface of ponds.
Superb eysight, front legs designed for grasping prey, ripple sensitive hairs to detect struggling prey from a distance.
They have other names: commonly known as water striders, water bugs, pond skaters, water skippers, or jesus bugs.
