down among the tulips, again
This may be a bit of a theme with me. But I love tulips, and their architecture, and the way they absorb and reflect light, and the skin-like fingerprints in the flower petals.
And I love that on a windowsill on a sunny January day they help out with the illusion that spring is coming...
I had trouble choosing this morning. There was this one -
yellow tulips from another angle
and also this one -
yet more tulips
I also got slightly distracted by a bowl of tangerines.
I ought to be working. But I'm restless and distracted. Partly by sunshine. Partly by knowing that my youngest child, Chad, is sitting an entrance exam today in an effort to move him out of a school where he's been unhappy. Spending every night dreading tomorrow seems tough on a 12 year old.
