Fiery!
Go large for in your face fiery!
A week or so ago the large planters either side of the main entrance at County Hall were planted up with winter Pansies - some are quite plain and others, like this one, are a stunning blend of colours, shading and streaking.
I love pansies so I've been wanting to blip one, but every day since then it's been far too windy. Today with minimal wind my chance came so I grabbed it.
There are a couple of other gorgeous colour-ways I plan to blip (one of course being purples, how can I NOT blip a purple one?). But on a mostly grey, autumnal day like today this fiery orange and red stood out ......
I finally had my tyre replaced today, such a relief. Driving with one of those space-saving spares is a total pain! But you know how it's said things happen in threes? Firstly it was the major drain problem at the weekend, yesterday was the puncture - and today came number three. I have a company laptop (at least I did have!). It's only used on a Tuesday morning when at my regular school, other times it stays in the boot of my car. Well, I arrived at the school this morning, opened the boot - no laptop. My first thought was that the guy at the tyre place must've taken it out when getting my punctured tyre out yesterday after work., and not put it back in. So I rang the tyre centre. No laptop. I then remembered I'd had to take it out at the place I'd pulled over in the morning, so my knight in shining armour could get to the spare tyre. I must've forgotten to put it back in and left it just sitting there! Duh!
After finishing at my school a drive back to where I'd had the puncture proved fruitless (as if it was still going to be there, hah!). Fortunately it's well encrypted. Once back at the office I rang the main police lost property with full details of it, including the serial number - no sign of it having been handed in. Needless to say, there has been much piss-taking leg-pulling this afternoon! I'm praying that number three will be the end of my run of bad luck for the time being ....
