Ahuriri Point
Today is our last full day on Great Barrier for another year. So we made the most of it!
A few jobs around the bay and house in the morning and then out on the boat for the afternoon. We headed North to Katherine Bay and ended up at a simply divine spot called Ahuruiri Point.
Sue and I went for a dive and not only was it a beautiful spot with abundant fish life, we even got a few crayfish. I refined my technique and got 3 of the 5 I saw, nice ... ;-)
Back on the surface some fishing was happening and so after a quick lunch we joined in, a few snapper and some Trevally. Then ashore for a lovely walk up the point for terrific views of Little Barrier, Katherine Bay and beyond.
Then back to the bay for some tidy up, another lovely dinner on the deck overlooking the bay, and bed. Be nice to stay here forever ...
