A Little Serenity

Much needed serenity I might add since it sounds like a war zone outside tonight.  I am as patriotic as the next person but the fireworks tonight have been non-stop and unbelievably noisy since about 8:00.  The celebration is still going on as I write this at 11:53 PM.   Unfortunately, the holiday falls on a work night for a lot of people so I have a feeling there will be some tired folks in the morning.   Poor Lizzie spent the evening under the bed, very unusual for her, and I worry about all the pets and wild critters in the area who must be terrified.
