Bad Day For Catfish

If you follow my journal you know that I live on an estuary of Lake Whatcom which provides endless photo opportunities.  The osprey I love to photograph fishes here daily and this time of year canoes and kayaks abound since there is none of the speed boat activity that occurs on the lake itself.  These three fishermen seemed to be enjoying the beautiful weather.   The osprey appeared above them and didn't seem terribly intimidated by their presence only moving slightly downstream to make his usual dramatic dive and, snagging a fish in record time, he flew off over their heads with his dinner.   I don't know how successful these fellows were but I'm guessing the catfish had a bad day all around.
