At the tunnels

Spent the afternoon down at the Lorn Organic Growers tunnels in Glen Lonan. Plenty of weeds in my beds, but it has been many weeks since I've been there. Most of the peas and almost all of the carrots have been chewed off - voles are a problem, I'm told. The runner beans are looking good and are full of flowers, but not many beanlets showing yet - for some reason the first flowers often don't get pollinated. Maybe there will be fewer bees in the tunnels.

It's not easy being 15 miles away - I'll see how the season progresses, but I may not bother next year. I'll wait and see.
