The last rose of summer

Really can feel the difference in the temperature today, there is a nip in the air; but it is a very pleasant sunny day and I have walked down to the town centre and back. The HG is away walking today, but I have the children after school and overnight so couldn't go. Will go over to their house to stay the night, as it is easier for them to have all their school stuff around. E has gymnastics tonight and A has a prefects' meeting, whatever that is. So I will probably be on my own for the evening, until the HG arrives.
