Hornet Nest

Lucky us.  A colony of White Faced Hornets has decided to build their nest (purloined from our poolside teak furniture, I might add) in a corner of the eaves.  Of course they've picked a spot that will be particularly difficult to spray!

We had much nicer visitors yesterday -- Elliott and Henry came for a swim, and when we could coax Elliott out of the pool he had a wonderful time being a "backyard explorer", searching for bugs to examine with binoculars and magnifying glass.  Henry was busy working on his beauty sleep pretty much the entire afternoon!
