Hawthorn moths

In the front garden, I pulled bracken, snipped brambles, pulled out grass and spotted this nest of caterpillars in the hawthorn . Internet research reveals that these will become Hawthorn moths!! That figures.
Son M is home for a week. He loves a BBQ. The extra reminded me of a previous blip. Looks like the same shorts to me.
