Abandoned and abused

We met up with MatthewHicks and Mark H to go and have a look round the derelict planes at Long Marston. As engineers we're inevitably drawn to rivets and the incredible engineering that created these wonderful structures. Alas time and vandals have not been kind to them. It's unclear how long they will remain as the site is due to have a housing development built on it, but for now it's a fantastic place to wander round as nature takes over and there's an incredible array of butterflies too. I think it's a large skipper in the extras.
