Herm

We had a lovely day, taking mum to Herm where we had lunch at the Mermaid then a walk to Shell beach along the flat gritty path, bordered by ferns and flowering alliums. We then strolled on to Belvoir and had Herm ice creams. A steep walk up to the middle of the island partly shaded by trees, and then through the wooded walk with bark chipping pathway, where a new rope hand rail has been constructed for the infirm to hold on to!
At home mum enjoyed our garden, sitting outside and helping to pick black currants. Julian dug up potatoes and we made a spud salad to our tea! Plus left over rhubarb crumble . Mum has enjoyed her weekend with us!
