Harvest Time

It was all go this evening in the fields on the outskirts of Cockermouth. It made for fascinating watching. At one time, there were four tractors and trailers in the field and, gradually, one by one, the combine harvester filled each one up and it left the field (as is happening on the right). The speed and precision of the vehicles working together is what interested me most. It would have been very simple for that chute to have overshot the trailer. Lots of seagulls were homing in for easy pickings.

The mountains in the distance are Whiteside and Grasmoor.
