Ice-Cream to Celebrate

I used to cycle a great deal but, in recent years, fractured two ribs and my coccyx by getting carried away and propelling myself over the handlebars just once too often.

So a new bicycle, and summoning up the old confidence, today led me to Buttermere from Cockermouth (20 miles). Not far by my old standards, but enough to reward myself with a double scoop raspberry ripple ice-cream from the farm there. These ice-creams are heaven on earth and come in 200 flavours - not all at once, they ring the changes!

From little acorns great oaks grow.....
Tomorrow I'll go a little further still.....
