home for 2 days

After a morning getting ready and doing odd jobs a friend arrived to take the 2 of us up to Aviemore for a new experience. (Mr Rat had his own Saturday plans).
The journey was rather slow due to heavy traffic (Scottish school holidays have begun) and we had a couple of stops to check the bikes on the back, the rack hadn't been used for a long time and so we were being cautious.
Our destination was Badaguish Outdoor centre and we were staying in the wigwam on the left.
Car unloaded, unpacking done, registration for event done and bikes and bags checked in and it was time for pasta, garlic bread and cake whilst talking to other competitors about what was in store for us.
Then, relaxing and an early night, we had to be up before 6am.
