A National Holiday

We decided to head up to Ganges to take in some of the Canada Day events.  Breakfast at the Inn, a wander around the park, a look at some of the classic cars, and some great people watching.  This is a photo of the hands of an excellent busker who was playing in the market.  The first extra is a painting on the inside of a classic Corvette hood.  I thought it was amazing.   The second is of a tray in the backseat of a Jaguar.  Imagine enjoying a glass of wine, being driven around the countryside by a chauffeur - in a Jaguar!  Much like the boat from yesterday's blip, a very different lifestyle from ours.  :)
I appreciated  Prime Minister Trudeau's acknowledgement of Canada's Indigenous peoples and the deplorable treatment of them in the past and present, and his understanding that for many, today is not a celebration.  Here's a link to his Canada Day statement:
