Different butterflies
Visited RSPB at Lakenheath this morning. Lots of butterflies about on the bramble blossom. I recognised the usual ones I see in the garden but these two were new to me. I checked when I got home and identified the one on the left as a Meadow Brown Butterfly, but could not find the one on the right. It is much smaller than the Meadow Brown and has a distinct orange pattern on the brown. Anyone got any ideas?
The extra is not a very good photo - but I was delighted to see the kingfisher perched on a branch above the water. I quickly took a shot through the window of the RSPB reception area - just as well, as someone walked along the path and it flew off before I could get out to try a better shot. Made my day, though!
