Mightier than the sword.....
I prefer to write by hand than type - I can write quicker and more accurately, and I am not reliant on any form of power or equipment other than a piece of paper and a pencil or pen.
I do not like ball pens, though I do usually have one in my bag - I prefer a pencil for everyday notes and a fountain pen for more permanent writing.
I also love the feel of wood. I already had a wooden propelling pencil and a wooden ball pen but yesterday, browsing (as one does) on that well known on line store, I spotted this wooden fountain pen. It looked ideal - fairly thick barrel, medium nib, uses 'proper' ink or cartridges, and came with a wooden box. I ordered it last evening, it arrived today, and is just as lovely as I hoped it would be - feels comfortable in my hand, writes smoothly, and the box is beautiful too.
And the price of this extravagance ? just £11.99 - I have paid more for an ordinary, well known make of ball pen!
Well pleased!
