Great Blue Heron

We have very dodgy internet where we are staying at present, so an early Blip while I am in town for an hour or so and have access to a better connection at the Germantown library. 

D and K have gone on to Hudson to get the muffler fixed. Pleased that it failed only when we got almost to our destination last night - don't like bringing attention to ourselves with all that noise!

Yes, the trains did wake us in the night, but slept well enough nevertheless. Grabbed a quick shot of this Great Blue early this morning - too far away really, maybe a better effort another time. Not 100% sure I have the ID correct, the grey heron looks quite similar, but not so black on the head I believe? Both look like huge versions of our white faced heron.

Hoping for a nice sunset again and another relaxing evening over dinner and a glass of wine on the deck like last night. It's certainly warm enough, at 30 degrees.
