Border raid

Having completed the Munros last year, I finally felt able to turn attention to those hills outside Scotland. Yesterday after driving south, I was blown round the Langdale Pikes in some horrible weather.

Today the weather improved slightly so we decided to make a big day of it. With two cars, we dumped one at either ends of the Kirkstone Pass and then walked up onto High Street to follow the old Roman road across many fells. The pint in the Inn at Patterdale was well received.
