Swan family outing

There has been a swan family in the Bishop's Glen loch for several years now, their activities lovingly monitored by more than one photographer, their safety ensured by the efforts of one such who was instrumental in having a boom put across the outlet above the old reservoir overflow. I've seen them in their preferred nesting site, and swimming about looking picturesque, and I'd read that they'd had another family not long ago.

Today, hoping to walk round the loch and the old reservoir area further up the glen, we came upon the entire family group at the small car park at the start of our route. Two dog-walkers were taking care to get themselves and their dogs into their cars without causing a disturbance. We decided to chicken out of passing the big chap on the left ...

... and swanned off to go up the other side of the loch. (Sorry!)
