Buzz on my beauties...
A freezing cold morning with driving northerly rain did not make for a great start to the day. I left Pepper at home and promised to pop back at lunchtime for her.
We were lucky. A little blue sky appeared, (not enough to make a sailors trousers though) and the temperature crawled up to 16C.
We wandered up the garden with ball to find that lots of bees were buzzing around their hives. We watched for a while from a respectful distance and I think it was the new baby bees taking their first flights after being housebound by the weather for so many days. Or I may just be bee-ing fanciful!
At any rate after half an hour they were all getting on with honey gathering bless their little waxy boots. Can't wait to taste it!
