Looks like rain

Thought I'd spend some time relaxing on the terrace before dinner but somehow watching the lightning coming closer, hearing thunder rolling around and watching the sky getting blacker by the minute wasn't all that relaxing. So I retired indoors to wrestle with the induction hob (what a faff) instead. And blow me but the fixed kitchen-window seal didn't stand up to the deluge; another call is needed!
Earlier I dropped my car off for some investigative work - the front wheels have been screeching for a wee while so it seemed like a good idea in case the brakes are about to pack in. S's brother recommended the mechanic but I suspect he won't be on the cheap side. Watch this space and listen for cries of anguish.
