Oxford by train from .......

....... Charlbury!
Well it was a pleasant train journey to Oxford. At the Bell we were told we could get a bus into the town or walk , 5 minutes, not for me it wasn't!!
We called for a coffee when we arrived at the shops, then proceeded to find the " Oxford Experience " that I had done about 10/12 years ago. What a disappointment it was to find it was closed 2 years ago, so we decided we would take a " Tour Bus", another disappointment ! 1st the auditory commentary was almost non existence , volume and diction very poor also there was so much construction work going on at every twist and turn, the noise was horrendous. I felt the tour company should have postponed this until one could even attempt to make out the commentary !! SO , Vicy & Albert were NOT amused!!!
The collage shows some of the lovely architecture in Oxford and bottom right the oldest building and bottom left street performers ( and yes I did ask permission for the photo ). Still enjoyed some of our day , at least it stayed dry.

Thankful ..... to have had a " rant "& still have had some enjoyment of the day.

High light of the day for me was the beautiful church of St Michael ( 15th century )
