Chastleton House .....
...... and Bourton on the Water & more. ---
We started our day with a trip to Chipping Norton then on to Stow in the Wold. After strolling around we proceeded to B on the W but saw a sign post to an interesting N.T. property , a family house of the Jones family, Walter Jones built the house between 1607/1612 passing through his descendants for nearly four centuries until urgent repairs finally forced its sale and in 1991 the N. T. Purchased the house. The history is very interesting the land belonged to Robert Catesby, conspirator of The Gun Powder Plot.
We then continued on to B on the W were we spent the rest of the day in this very picturesque village. The weather was kind to us only a few sprinkles of rain .
Thankful ..... to have had such considerate people around today, they were so attentive to the fact my movement was difficult and slow.
