Hummingbird Hawk Moth

...... time of year. But they have had a hard time of it in the heavy rain showers today. This one was dodging raindrops as I was trying to follow him! Our garden has been a rich source of blips recently, probably because I had to be in it, weeding for hours as I had done nothing for the previous month. I can now see a time when I can sit and enjoy it, coming up.

Thanks for the gifts for Mr. Black Woodpecker, he was nowhere in sight or sound today.
