Day 14 - SOS

Or May Day for most including the roofers of course. However the weather was again dreadful and they couldn't have worked even if not a holiday.

I enhanced the light on the photo as the reality was so drab and grey one couldn't see much. Taken close to midday after the dog walk in the woods behind Ottobeuren. When we drove past on the way to the walk, the last few hardy types (about 4) were standing under the shelter of the beer caravan roof which was still up. The maypole erecting ceremony was over, it was a brand new tree this year. Not sure if they erected in as is often done in these parts, manually by young men with poles or whether given the weather (wind and rain) they used a crane or mechanical winches.
