Disappointing

Our new students turn up for induction and orientation tomorrow and will be expecting to see a newly redeveloped campus providing state of the art facilities. Instead they will find a building site and almost the whole of the ground floor screened off with temporary partitions.

After all the reassurances we have been given throughout the summer that the works will be completed on time, it is really disappointing that we are now in this position. It also means that staff (both academic and administrative) have to work really hard to ensure that students have a positive experience. Meanwhile those responsible for this monumental cock up are unlikely to ever have to face students.

A great start to the new academic year.
